Anyone have tips on how to edit without a computer?

perfect :)

if you have "the latest windows update" you have a new feature called "game mode" you can enable, but there are also other easy settings tweaks to "maximise performance" EG https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/windows-10-faster-performance/

But the single best thing to improve windows 10 speed is usually to REMOVE any 3rd party antivirus Apps (McAfee etc) that often come pre-installed. Windows "Defender" (comes with win10) is "good enough" these days and is much less resource hungry that most others.

"disabling" unneccessary "startup items" is also good and covered in the link.

At that point, win 10 is as "snappy" as it's going to ever get :)

Beyond that, learn to CLOSE (not "minimise") anything you aren't using / tabs / etc to free up RAM.

Then consider an editor like GIMP For windows - for basic editing (levels / healing / clone stamps / dodge / burn) it's FINE (pinky swear :)

HAve fun :)
