A semi-near future sci-fi show (200-600 years) with an optimistic outlook on humanity (a la Star Trek & TNG) exploring human civilization in the solar system and our efforts & mixed success at settling and terraforming.

We would follow a new and small independent / privateer spaceship crew with a new ship as we use real world predicted or speculated advances and locations, as well as the crew juggling favor and alliances with corporations and governments. (Not to be restricted to strict, hard sci-fi however.)

I've planned out what could be considered some episode of the week plots and longer arching storylines, with a far bit of Babylon 5 influence and smidgen of Cowboy Bebop and Firefly.
