I believe in equal treatment and have supported my mum’s business and help her around whenever possible (I live in Australia) and want my partner in pursuing her passions.

However, there is a difference between being a true advocate for equality and being a politically charged feminist. Excessive involvement in politics and discussions of masculinity and patriarchy can be concerning and, in my experience, often lead to relationship problems, even causing divorce among friends (irrespective of gender).

My friend recently ended her engagement with a guy who talked too much about politics. And She is independent earn well and take care of her family.
