They never delivered the game they showed / talked before launch. At its best it is a base building survival game with very minor multiplayer aspects and basic exploration.

You grind out materials to pass progression hardgates to go towards the center to piece together you are in a simulation that became self aware and then spend 5-minutes watching a windows 95 screensaver in reverse before being slammed in to NG+ in a new universe / simulation which there are a total of 256.

Let’s not forget that they lied about features they “had to pull” that they never even started to work on. Like saying multiplayer was worked on and tested but couldn’t be implemented at launch, but your discoveries and names would be shared; and dataminers found there wasn’t even any network coding, to even share discoveries, in the game at launch let alone multiplayer.

HelloGames deserves a “good work doing your job”, but they definitely don’t deserve an “‘Attaboy! Fucking incredible work!”
