I don’t think it’s fair of you to say that a doctor who won’t openly prescribe stimulants is hardly a doctor. You’re not a medical professional, and you’re not OP who may really benefit from non-stimulants. Strattera in studies literally showed relatively the same effectiveness of Ritalin, and there are plenty of hassles coming with stimulants such as pharmacy shortages and not getting enough supply. Dismissing a doctor just because he won’t prescribe you schedule 2 drugs is the pinnacle of drug-seeking behavior. If non-stimulants don’t work and the doctor persists, OP can switch doctors, but until now, they have to refrain from the bias of stimulants.
