Asian Tourists

They also usually stand in large groups blocking stairwells, hallways, sidewalks, if you ask them to move usually they politely say sorry and move aside though. It's just like they have absolutely no awareness of personal space and I think that explains most of the behavior.

Older women and men are a lot worse about it, they talk so goddamn loud like nobody else is around them. It doesn't matter where they are, I've heard them loudly shouting on the phone (yes, shouting. Not loudly talking. Shouting, like the other person on the phone can't hear them) at a WEDDING. During the vows. At libraries, in school highways, in lobbies, and if you're lucky and get a group of them on the train, good luck on the rest of your commute because you won't be able to think over the sound of their squalling.

They also stare a lot... I'd be eating something or doing something and if it catches their interest they will all stare or even walk near something in a group and stare, take out their cameras and snap photos and talk to each other as if I'm not there. One time on campus I was eating something, I don't even remember what it was but I guess it was interesting, a group of them just stood about five feet away watched me eat and talked to each other, they even made eye contact with me but they never asked me anything. Some of they would walk away to their own table and still stare at me from a distance and others would lurk nearby. Yes I know that's strange and that's why I remember this. Finally I asked if I can help them and they just smiled and said "No No" and then continued standing/sitting and watching me. I have no idea.

I'll admit I'm prejudiced at this point, unfortunately, but I try not to let it affect the way I treat people. It's just in my mind, if I see or hear a loud or disrespectful Asian person I would think, "Mainland Chinese" and then usually, I would be right. Again, I try not to be and I know not everyone is like this.
