Why is the attitude of some Remainers on here reek of passive aggressiveness and actual happiness at any Brexit negative news?

I don't really get this whole "don't talk the country down! You want the country to fail" stuff.

Who cares about how I feel? It has no bearing on whether or not the country fails. It's definitely of no relevance to you whether an anonymous person on the internet feels differently about something.

I don't want stuff to become more expensive or to move to another country. I want to buy a home and have a decent job and to not get blown up or have my home flooded. I obviously don't want the country to actually fail.

But at the same time I can totally feel that I want to be right in my convictions. And at this point the whole debate has become so toxic that I feel very strongly about them. It doesn't help that Remainers are basically being marginalized and humiliated at this point while history is being retconned to make us look stupid and irrational.

And then there's two other things: 1) Brexit still has to happen and Remainers shouldn't simply pick up a UKIP badge and try to "make it work" under their terms.

2) Many people believe in the EU as a force for good. The fact that you don't have any strong feelings about it doesn't mean that others don't genuinely care about being a part of it.
