Austin Ainge: Dear media, IT4 is awesome&small enough w/o you shrinking him for hyperbole!

I’m a little guy — I’m only five-foot-eight — so unless you’re a huge basketball fan, you’re probably not going to recognize me around town. I’m not like Jared Sullinger ducking into the doorway of a restaurant. I blend in.

Direct quote from Isaiah Thomas. I find it hard to believe he wouldn't consider himself 5'9 if he is really 5'8.75 barefoot. So he would easily be over 5'9 in any pair of shoes that weren't chuck taylors/paper mache' slippers, who rounds down on their height? How many people are completely honest about height, and would not round up .25 inches rather than round down .75, and not factor in shoes either.

Sorry, I'm not going to take Austin Ainge's word for it. I'd rather trust Bill Simmons' anecdotal account of standing next to IT and calling him 5'7.5 or whatever he said, than an empty tweet by the GM's son.

At most he looked up a draft file. So what? Basketball heights are pretty much always exaggerated and/or measured with shoes on.

It ultimately doesn't even matter, IT is short...one inch won't matter at that point really, but I just thought this sub was less homer-tastic than the CelticsBlog.
