Who is the leader of our team and why?

Except for when it's him causing the issue. People seem to remember him calling Tatum and Brown out last year as the turning point of the season.... When an actuality Brown and Tatum both publicly disagreed with Marcus doing what he did

Just because a guy embodies a lack of criticism, does not mean he's the leader and what makes the team tick, not when he's historically shown a lack of accountability and discipline.

At the end of the day, your best player is the one who you rely on, it's the best player's job to lead by example. Any efforts Tatum takes to lead this team on the court has by far the most leadership impact. When he moves the ball, the ball pools. When he doesn't whine, the team doesn't whine. Smart's leadership has not been independent to poor play.

Tatum? Absolutely. Team starts and ends with Tatum's energy.

Smart. Isn't. A. Star. He may be the vocal guy, but Tatum is the guy who makes everyone play the way they need to.
