Objectively, how high would you rank Bird in the greatest players?

Broooo how can you put Magic ahead of Bird as a Celtics fan???? I can totally see putting the two of them in a dead heat in the all time rankings, and honestly there’s be a real poetic justice in the two of them having their legacies intertwined like that like their careers were, even going back to their MSU and Indiana State days. But purely as a matter of homerism and fandom, you’ve got to put Bird at least on par with Magic, if not above him haha

In seriousness though, I have a real hard time trying to rank the all time top players - the only rankings I feel confident are Jordan at #1 and maybe this is more homerism on my part but I think you have to have Russell #2 based on the sheer volume of winning that he did, and the way he adapted his game and sacrificed his personal stats for the betterment of the team. From there it becomes absolutely impossible to me, where you could making compelling arguments for guys like Kareem, LeBron, Wilt, Magic and Bird, Shaq, Duncan, etc. not to mention some of the other current guys like Curry and Giannis, etc. There’s just too many good players and not enough spots in the top 10
