In The Avengers when Thor and Loki argue on the mountain top, two ravens fly by. In Norse mythology, Odin has two ravens, Huggin and Munnin, who watch over Earth for him

Those ravens are the reason he only has one eye, he traded his eye for all the knowledge he desires to a witch, but he got tricked and was instead given two ravens named Huggin(litterally thought, but also used to mean wisdom) and Munnin(litterally desire, although there's a popular thing at the moment to think it's mind or knowledge, but that's a really recent idea with no significant academic support).

Of course this being Norse mythology there's multiple versions of the story and this particular one involves the witch being hunted down and imprisoned until Ragnarok will bring Asgard down atop her cell.

Other versions use the name to reflect the roles of the ravens, Munnin carries out Odin will(delivering messages, signaling his presence to allies and fighting alongside him in combat) while Huggin observes(gathering wisdom and understanding).

Norse mythology man, it's crazy.
