it all comes down to a fairly simple equation, trans people and their advocates want to be able to both define and control what others say about them, the prime weapon is the ridiculous notion that anything anyone says that is critical of transgender people or the transgender movement is hurtful/harmful/abusive
everything about the reality of transgender people must be above criticism else-wise it is harmful
there is no getting around that, it's a double bind and effectively cuts off any dialogue and places the trans-activist in the position of judge and jury with regard to speech and thought
you and i actually cannot have a conversation because by definition, my speech is worth less than yours because you possess privileged moral insight
we don't even share the same vocabulary
i could say "i don't hate or dislike trans people and believe they are due their full rights" until the end of time but question some of the underlying premises of their movement and it would never be enough, it would still be prohibited speech
you are quite literally trying to disallow certain kinds of thoughts which is a prima-facie case for the weakness of your argument
it really is just emotion with you guys, you get so upset that dialogue becomes impossible
except wait, your fundamental premise disallows any dialogue at all anyway
so here we are
