Humidity plays a large role. It’s not just the temperature. Expecting everyone to conform to your preferred temperature isn’t only not fair, it’s close minded and doesn’t take into consideration the wider factors involved in an individual’s comfort.

I doubt anyone desiring a temperature lower than you deem acceptable is doing it out of spite. It would take a lot of effort to be uncomfortable just to intentionally waste a slight amount of electricity.

If someone prefers being cooler or warmer than you and it takes energy, let them. They’re not being harmful to the environment. They’re taking care of themselves and bodily needs just as you.
