Because it detract from the beauty you may so try to defend by being there, much like a blimp full of out of towner tourists paying for the view blocking Mount Rushmore like an eyesore, detracting from the very thing we’re trying to enjoy naturally. Monetizing the experience and subject matter leads to the removal of what made it naturally appealing in the first place. It can lead to actual detraction and interest as the beauty is now overwhelmed by that tourist container. Money is being made though, ain’t nobody got time for that “beauty” non-sense.

Unless gigantic tourists cruise ships that seem to overwhelm the scene (as depicted in the paintings - some only able to portray a piece of he ship it’s so large) are somehow traditional to Venice.
