BBC boasts over coming in second place at Rio Olympics, using picture of crying Chinese athlete designed to provoke and instigate

First off, when you do google "crying American Olympian" you certainly do see a , a meaning single, picture of a crying Chinese athlete. You also see a picture of a crying Korean athlete, a crying Russian athlete , a couple British athletes, and many many more crying American athletes. So I don't know what you're searching, but stop cherry picking.

And as I mentioned prior, excluding home games, China and the U.K. have alternated between second and third place for the last several games, placing behind the U.S. at first. This is called a rivalry, not racism. The point of this article is to point out that the UK won this rivalry in 2016. It's the end goal for any nation to be first, the article even dedicates a sizable chunk to the hope of eventually beating out the U.S. (and it's not racist for them to do so), but in the meantime there is nothing bigoted about taking joy in winning a handicapped rivalry.
