Because an expensive car is going to make you less creepy

True, but men don't have the same "social rights" as women. It's much easier for a women to cry wolf than it is for a man to actually be believed. There's been a lot of cases where wen say someone is sexually assaulting them or something, them they admit it wasn't true. The man's life is ruined either way, and the females in the situation get out free the majority of the time. It is creepy that a guy would come up to you at night, but it would be the same thing if a random lady started walking over to me. I'm extremely paranoid of everything though so it would be reasonable for me to freak out. Like I said, fear is genderless. And trust me, I'm all for equal everything, equal pay, status etc. I just don't want it to be biased to a certain gender. Let me tell you, it is objectively easier to be a lady and express emotion than it is a dude. There's so much social stigmatism and bias that makes it seem like only women are allowed to have feelings. 80% of all scuicides are from men. Anyways the point I'm trying to get at is that this was not an attempt to belittle women for being afraid of men, but rather an attempt to bring light to more stronger social issues. Fear. Is. Not. Gendered.
