Contraceptive pills that cause such high risks of clotting have been taken off the market in the past indicating that the producers were not aware of those severe side effects. I think it is rather an improvement that male contraceptive pills are higher regulated simply because it is harder than in the last century to get drugs on the market. I would argue that this is more of a warning to control female contraceptive pills
I admit, I took it a little out of context, other people commented stating the actual side effects of the maleecontraception was take off the market for and they are not minor. As far as I am aware, some trials included men not regaining fertility again as well as too extreme hormone depletion.
