I have dated two Asians- neither on purpose; they just happened to be people I was digging personality wise. One I am still infatuated with and we still having feels for each other two decades later (very long story) and the other is the Ex above.

Because I have dated these two Asians, I get snarky, condescending remarks about having "Yellow fever". When I dated Black woman, I didn't have "Black fever" (although there is loaded racism from other angles). My last GF was European Colombian and my current FWB is Mexican but no one says "Latin fever". And the vast majority of my relationships/hookups have been with White women and certainly no one is saying "White fever".

It is really an insidious, Orientalist racial trope that the White-Asian dynamic is so criticized and celebrated. It's almost played off like innocent playtime but it's racist and disrespectful af. And these White dudes with Asian "fetishes" don't help.

I feel ya' dude. People are people. I like who I like. You should be able to also. When we break it down to racial fetishes, it is such dehumanization.
