So I been a medical assistant for 10years and always wanted to go back to school. I feel now I am stable financially and the support to be a full time student. I been looking online for LVN programs and am scared of the teas test just because I been off school for 10yrs. Is it OK to just be afraid?

Please don’t waste your potential. Just aim higher. You put 10 years of blood sweat and tears into being a MA. ADN/BSN is usually a bit more competitive, but if you have the drive to study, you will do extremely well. I was away from school for 10 years too. Did ma and er tech work. I realized I was wasting my time and decided to go back. You know what I was scared. Scared I’d fail. Scared I’d be older than most students. At the end none of that mattered. Start preparing early. Most people applying do not have the drive. They aren’t even on the same page. Start studying anatomy and physiology early. Purchase a study guide like on nursehub for the teas. Do this and you will breeze through and get As and do well on the entrance exam.
