I grew up with a Mormon family in Utah. It was borderline cult. The religion stopped making sense to me and I heard and saw some abuse in the church. I didn’t want to worship something that would condone the awful things detailed in the Bible. I didn’t understand how someone would read it, understand it, and think it sounds great. I started questioning a lot more, wondered how much has been misinterpreted and retranscribed throughout history, what’s been changed, I wondered why there’s so many different religions if there is supposedly only one truth and god. If a deity exists I believe modern man has severely misinterpreted its message and or existence.
