Best weatherman just released an update on the triple hurricanes

I'm a Floridian, likely within the direct path of Irma, and more fucked because I already have a slightly damaged roof. For those reasons and maybe a few others, I've read dozens of articles, and periodically watched and listened to coverage of this storm. Each time, I've been treated to sensationalist trash: Articles telling me Irma may evolve into a category 6 hurricane (there's no such thing), others with laypeople spelling out various doomsday scenarios, and ultimately almost no content that gives me details about the models that have been copied-and-pasted over and over. It's insulting when articles are titled with some variation of "you're all going to die" just for some views, not to mention then only substantiated with more melodramatic quotes and bullshittery in the articles themselves. But worse, the result is that my mom has been panicking nonstop for the last 2 days, at times almost crying, even telling me we may die.

Because of that, this weatherman is a breath of fresh air. He's not an opportunist trying to take advantage of my position, like the price-gougers and clickbaiters that are the norm whenever an event like this comes. He didn't put on the same fake solemn and serious tone of other newscasters, or try to scare anyone into buying 10 cases of water bottles. He instilled calm, was perfectly measured and qualified in his explanations, provided context/history, and described to me what it is I was looking at - all things 99% of the other news sources couldn't do.

So yes, /u/TurquoiseCorner, /u/Blue_eyed_Otaku, /u/Doomenator9, and all the other guys who get jealous whenever someone else (especially if they're non-white) is receiving attention: this weatherman is great, and deserves all the praise he's getting.
