Bf’s (23M) parents hated dinner :( how do i (22F) approach this situation?

I don't necessarily agree.

It could be racism, but it could also just be that a lot of people get stuck in their ways as they get older.

You grow up eating certain foods, and expect things cooked in a certain way, and if something isn't the way you expect it to be it's "wrong" or "bad".

I've seen it from my grandparents a ton of times - the fish isn't cooked the way they've been eating it for the last 80 years so it's disgusting.

I wouldn't take my grandparents out for a curry or for sushi because I know they'll complain. Not because of anything to do with race - because it doesn't meet the expectations of food that they've built up over the last 80 years.
