I’m not OP, but what is this referring to? George W Bush’s portrait was hung in the ceremony by Obama back in 2012.

Your article says they did contract an artist to make it. So who knows if trump was being super petty about this or if it was normal timeline.

Right, it is actually entirely because of his pettiness because multiple “sources familiar with the matter” from the White House went to NBC news about it.

I know the Trump supporters reading this will get mad, but people only deserve the benefit of the doubt when they don’t have a literal lifetime of extreme acts of pettiness aligning with this so incredibly neatly.
