Bill C-45 passed in Canada! Yay legalization!

Currently to grow as a medical patient you need an acmpr home grow lisence and be registered with the RCMP, so same deal. Still illegal until the law comes into effect but atleast your seeds would be legit...ish

Honestly dude(ette), people have been growing for years without issue so if you want to do it chances are you're probably gonna get away with it. But is it worth it to risk it to wait and extra couple months? Your call...

My opinion, If you're just starting out growing take the three months to read, acquire the tools and equipment you need and then set it all up. By the time you have a good understanding of how to grow decent weed and have all the stuff to do it it'll be legal or really close to it.

Subscribe to /r/microgrowery and /r/spacebuckets and start reading, go to growweedeasy.com and start reading. Once you know how you want to grow or what style, hydro (DWC, ebb and flow, hempy buckets, etc, etc), coco, soiless, no till, etc etc, then you can start buying that equipment, then you'll need to decide on a light, so Led cob diy or buy, Quantum boards diy or buy, high pressure sodium, metal halide, CFL, etc then buy that stuff and or build it. You'll need to decide on tent growing and or building a space and how you will create negative pressure with a high CFM fan to use a carbon filter unless you are cool with everything you own smelling like weed, shit is crazy smelly. Once you have that all nailed done and bought you will need nutrients that will work with your grow style or make your soil. You will need to measure water ph and ppm depending on nutes and grow style. You'll need triming scissors, measuring cups or syringes, pest management and other miscellaneous things.

Then you can start germination. Honestly, the amount of people you see spend good money on lights and tents but have no idea how to grow is crazy. Everyday on those subreddits someone comes on and says "what's wrong with my plants" and everyday at least one or two of those people made a simple rookie mistake that would have been avoided if they did even a little research on growing. You'll see some people get next to nothing on their first grow and then others pull a pound. The difference is preparation. Growing good weed in decent quantity with 4 plants is not difficult if you put in the time to learn. I can currently pull 400-500 grams with 4 plants every 4-5 months and it's better than any LP with the knowledge of exactly what was used to grow it and what if anything was used for pest management and I can choose to use chemicals or not during flower. Last grow I got spider mites mid flower and rather than risk smoking chemicals I scrapped the entire grow. Think an LP or illegal grower will do that?

Anyways, that's my two cents

Good luck!
