If you manage the units - like with LoV - then it'll probably end up with the same amount of particupation as LoV.
If YOU (the player) are one of the team units, then the whole passing the ball would have to lock players in place (no doubt to everyone's chagrin) each time a pass was made, and I have no idea how they'd implement the mechanics relating to intercepting a 'pass' (if it's even possible) or shooting at a goal given how objects interact in this game. I guess you could do something akin to Huttball in SWTOR and have the player move into the goal/cross a line, but that'd be odd considering it's meant to be Blitzball and fans of it will expect it to be as similar as possible.
It'd be a mess either way, as some things just don't translate well from single player games.
