Bought an Asus and regretting how terrible it is, looking at Amplifi Alien

Having similar issues in what way? Did I ever find near perfect hit detection in games without the Adtran? No sadly not, I think the Adtran was still better in that sense and I can’t even explain why. Did I ever get open nat and a decent router? Sure. I ended up getting the GT AX11000, which has kinda been the middle ground I guess. I have open ports and my hit detection feels mostly okay, wireless speeds are beautiful though. I’m not really sure how I would even get buffer bloat with this router when I get about 1100/1100 from the router and I’m sorta capped on the gigabit side. I just see all the streamers with higher or lower ping and they have the worlds best hit detection ever, and yet I feel like being middle ground I’m constantly just punished. I am Also on PC now and I do feel like games perform differently then how console was. I think the only real answer to having god internet is just living near the servers you want to play on with fiber that’s half decent. Like people who live in LA or Seattle and have great fiber companies. I have seen Tim the tat man though and he does so well even though he’s literally living in Florida with ATT fiber, but, Att is a tier 1 isp therefore they are probably getting the best routes possible which means latency and throttling is probably very slim if at all. It’s kinda stupid we live in a world where ISPs aren’t forced to have to have a standard of quality and we’re not subject to being thrown on worse routes. For now I’ve just kinda sucked it up and still acknowledge that it’s better than spectrum anyways. I’m hoping maybe someday I can move to a better city area or at least central US where I can find a good provider and have relatively good connection regardless of where in the US I’m connected to. Fidium works fantastic for East and somewhat mid coast servers, once it goes beyond that it’s questionable imo. So unless the company has quality routing and no major throttling along the path, it’s just going to be a mid level experience it seems.
