And you'd actually have a point if windows even had something as simple as custom icon packs, but no it doesn't. So you're comparing numix and themes to.. nothing?

The second post is pretty much a ripoff from different stuff anyone with zero coding experience can do in rainmeter, up to and including the graphs that is not a new thing and can be done on any flavour you want the binary clock is not exactly new either, pretending the calendar is anything to get on your high horse about. nor is notes.
And really through, the weather ones are basically a staple at this point, and slapping gifs on it to be animated is not new or innovative either.
What i do have to praise him for is the whatapp box, the syslog one and active connections.
Other than that up to, and including the vu meter can be pretty much duplicated on rainmeter with perfect parity if i had the asset pngs he used (namely the icons, if you wanna get pedantic).

Besides, ignoring that "So you're comparing numix and themes to.. nothing?" is flat out disingenuous, due to not only the arc theme itself being ported, but also because it can be set up on the AU version. And while yes, you have to replace three files (or flat out use the installer given and call it a day), let's not pretend to get i3 and conky the way you want, and using external icon packs don't require fiddling with settings or config files for an hour or two.
Of course, once you ignore the laziness gate that linux users love to parade around despite mocking anyone who doesn't put effort on linux itself, you got TRANSPARENCY
