Hand sanitizer does dehydrate skin and remove oils, but all that oil does is keep our skin flexible and stretchy, nothing else. Yes, that does also come under good hand hygiene, but during this pandemic you also need to increase the frequency of your hand washing to protect yourself and those around you. Also, a tissue is permeable so medically speaking, offers zero protection from a virus without hand-washing also.
