Byron Scott 'absolutely' expects to coach Los Angeles Lakers next season

Holy crap! Why in the blue hell did his post get upvoted? There's NOTHING in his post which indicates he watched the Lakers this season, yet people are upvoting it. Why? Why is it okay to make up things on reddit now? This is completely unacceptable. You have got to up your game, reddit. Let me address all of those points.

1) He didn't manage Kobe's season well. Kobe managed Kobe's season well. Earlier in the season, there were times when Byron overplayed Kobe at the expense of the youth and it led to Kobe being exhausted. In fact, Kobe had to intervene regularly and tell Byron to play the youth. There was the game Russell single-handedly sent to overtime with his heroics, and Kobe told Byron not to check him in that game. Kobe commanded more respect than Byron, which should not have happened.

2) Russell DOES have killer instinct. He's showed it on numerous occasions. Remember that infamous game against the Mavs where Byron benched him for taking over, only to destroy his confidence the rest of the way through? Russell is absolutely not afraid to take the tough shots, which you can't say for anyone else on the team (sans Kobe).

3) If you even bothered to read Russell's bio, you'd know that he was benched in his first year at Montverde Academy for Michael Frazier II. He's had to work for everything and nothing's been handed to him. Russell's been through considerable adversity. He grew up around gangs, but had a strong father figure that guided him through his childhood. He is very, very fortunate to not to be in prison today given his early life circumstances.

4) There was no rationale behind benching Russell and Randle. Russell was having a relatively good stretch prior to his benching. The Lakers didn't start winning and Lou just hoisted in his absence. It was a poor decision.

5) The team quit on Byron this season, and sources indicate that guys like Ed Davis and Kent Bazemore did not want to play for him. The last game was all for Kobe.

6) As of today, Byron has the lowest winning percentage out of all coaches who have coached 1000 or more games. Any other organization would have fired him, but the Lakers FO is in disarray at the moment. Byron's anachronistic offensive schemes, irrational substitution patterns, overreliance on immobile centers (Hibbert) is more suited for 90s ball. He's completely out of touch.
