Calgary police apologize but defend decision not to charge admitted drunk driver who killed 2 pedestrians

I am not for defunding police, but in every single city crime went down.

Camden a decade ago was the worst in America. They disbanded their police and crime plummeted. It still isn't perfect but it is significantly better than it was.

The fact is police are reactionary. They do not stop crimes from being committed. They only react after the fact. You never hear a story of police stopping a murder, catching someone while they are committing a home invasion and so forth. They also no longer investigate crime that doesn't have evidence. If someone is murdered and there is no obvious evidence, they will spend a couple weeks on it and drop the case.

Most of the busts from police come from random stops due to drugs and guns, and small investigation units who help create large raids. The day to day police officers no longer does anything in society that makes an impact. They don't keep areas safe because they are never out in those areas.

I grew up in government housing and never saw a single police officer unless they were kicking someone's door in. Literally one of the most dangerous communities in Toronto and they wouldn't even hang around to deter crime.

They also no longer respond to accidents unless someone is injured. They don't enforce traffic laws

There are divers on youtube finding dozens and dozens of missing people and murder victims. They aren't police divers.

The safest towns and cities in Canada and America don't even have police forces. They use Sheriffs (America), provincial police or RCMP. Not their cities police force.
