Why does he ghost me but still act possessive over me? He always goes overboard to make me jealous. Why does he find it thrilling to see me cry and hurt me? He wants to be friends on his own accord. If I want friendship on mutual terms, will he disappear forever? Will he seek revenge?

Had a very physically abusive relationship. He’s almost sadistic in a way to me. Likes to have me beg for his forgiveness and kiss his feet to not leave me stranded in the cold ice (literally) in stranded areas. Then laughs when I try to communicate seriously. Then ghosted me while I was suffering and trying to pick up the pieces back together. Said he just wanted to be friends. Then I moved on and first he made it out as a joke and said he’d love to be invited to our dinners etc. then shortly he said he can’t handle it and refuses to talk to me or be friends with me. Even when I said I still had love for him there he started to insult me and humiliate me and plot revenge on me.

Is this destined to be forever like this? Will he just walk away and disappear at one point? Why is he like this with me? How do I navigate this in a civil way?
