You can now hear the samples and view the album art of Adam's next score, "RMS Titanic"!

A friend re-introduced me to Adam's music right before Christmas, a few months ago. I had heard his music before (well, Owl City) and I wasn't fond of it. I have changed a lot since that first listen to Owl City so when she told me I should give him another listen, I did. We have very similar music tastes so I thought it odd we would disagree so strongly on one artist. I started with Owl City's "Maybe I'm Dreaming" and my love for his music grew like a wildfire.

My favourite music from Adam (aside from Sky Sailing) is his instrumental stuff. When I found out that he would be releasing free scores with visual companions (very similar to my absolute favourite artist, Sleeping At Last) I almost died. Classical music has been my favourite ever since I was eight years old. Everything I listen to is at least a little influenced by it. I couldn't wait for this. I counted down the days to the first score. When my first listen was completed, I literally felt as if I had been to the moon and back. I had always ignored the Apollo 11 mission (even though I love learning about space and all of the music inspired by it) because what I knew of it never interested me. It goes without saying it didn't inspire me either. After hearing that score, I felt like I knew all there was to know. I was one of the lonely three on that journey. That is quite the feat for any artist, let alone one that puts forth such a message with no words whatsoever. I have become quite enamored with the whole story of Apollo 11 and I have nobody to thank for that but Adam.

I may have counted down the days to the last score but I am counting down the seconds to this one. The story of the Titanic means a lot to me personally and affects me more than most stories do. It is such a powerful story that it almost seems extramundane. Unlike the last journey, I have been on this one several times. With that being said, I still have a sneaking suspicion that this time I will not just get to be in that world, viewing from a distance, but I will actually be on the deck. I am not quite sure that is a good thing though.
