Can Pet Cats Be Vegan? Or do they HAVE TO eat meat?

Feeding a cat meat is certainly not vegan. I’m sure I do not need to site the vegan society definition of veganism to prove this. When you try to avoid as much cruelty to animals as possible, feeding a cat a life long diet of meat is not vegan at all, even if it’s a rescue. Far far far far far more animals die for the cats 1 life of eating than if just the one cat died.

Now if you can find scraps of meat that are in the dumpster to feed cats then that is an acceptable vegan way to feed them the tortured flesh of countless sentient beings because the damage has already been done. There is no created demand when feeding the thrown away meat unlike buying dead animal food from the pet store where unimaginable amounts of sentient beings suffer and die for only a handful in comparison of cats to eat.

This is a harsh reality for some people but it is certainly a truth.
