Canada's federal 'tampon tax' to be removed July 1

There are an absolute shit ton of studies on this, I would recommend googling it.

There are a lot of studies on this that go back and forward on the topic. Reality is less women work in construction or manual labor position. This is probably down to gender roles but also down to the fact that the majority of women just don't want to do a crap job. No one does. Nursing is field of employment where the majority are female due to social pressure.

Again, I would prefer to be in the situation of the male in this case, where I could earn more and have someone willingly or slightly unwillingly stay at home to care for my offspring. Sadly, that's not how it works. I don't have that choice. I'm pregnant, the state gives me all the leave and my spouse none, it's a fucked up situation in general

World isn't perfect place, if you don't fight for something nothing will change.

I'd rather not have to be the pregnant one or need to breastfeed or have menstruations, but I don't really have that choice.

Nature doesn't really give a fuck what we want. I would rather not be stuck where I am in life but that is upon me to change.

I could go child free, but that's also not a choice I'd prefer. And since I don't have a choice in these matters, I'd want a state that at least tries to mitigate the unequalness that stems from a very biological situation.

In this case the difference in money each year is 10 dollars. If you want to fight against inequality of taxation then fight to remove GST since it affects poorer people more than rich people.

Biological inequalities are a bad standard by which a societies taxation system should be balanced around. An average womens life expectancy is greater than that of a male. Do we compensate men more because they die earlier? There should be no distinctions between male and females with regard to laws and taxation.

Did you completely miss my initial explanation? It's because it's an unequal situation, an item that one of the sexes simply never need. If you can point out another of those items that only men need, and if they don't they splurt blood all over their surroundings, then please do go ahead.

If it’s wrong for the state to charge women for having menstruating bodies, it’s wrong for the state to allow an industry to profit from women for the same reason. Taken to its logical conclusion the end result is the government should make tampons free.
