The Canadian government is asking for YOUR input as it crafts legal marijuana regulations. Make your voice heard

For my input, I'll choose to provide my opinion for a basis of properly educating our youth. Since I inherently disagree with a fear mongering medium similar to the DARE program, I hope we can explore the benefits of marijuana and other "illegal drugs" in an educational advancement spectrum.

In anyone's definition of a modern day pharmaceutical drug, it is a means in which to fix or subdue the effects of a harm to our body or mind. We have become extremely precise in our examination and prescription of these means, but still have what seems to be a fallacy in our medical system. This medical fallacy is most pronounced in the term "drug cocktail". There are many of our ill being subjected to drugs that pinpoint a single ailment, but neglect the opportunity to create overall positive effects within the living ecosystem we call our bodies.

This is where in often cases, our brains in which perceive a plane of the coexistence of matter and life, are being ignored in order to pinpoint these ailments. This is not to say that we have not developed ways in which we can somewhat stabilize or subdue adverse mental or emotional illness, but to question their developmental effectiveness as a cure. An important study to note would be the use of reported psychedelics such as MDMA are immensely effective for treating cases of post-traumatic stress disorder. Something that should be raised into question is of what these "illegal drugs" are accomplishing within our organism, and our endocrine system. In perspective, I do not possess the knowledge of what these drugs achieve, but from credible sources through my own volition can derive fact that these psychedelics affect our dopamine/serotonin, and the naturally occurring dimethyltryptamine (DMT), contained in the human brain.

To summarize, I would hope to see proper education built on the effects that occur to our bodies, in a medical sense to properly enlighten our youth in effort to advance biological understanding. This would contrast the efforts to we've seen from DARE and alcohol prohibition, being that the means in which higher interests dictate the perception of these drugs, have been seemingly based solely on personal finance and control over a market.
