US Capital Protests Megathread

Just because 2 things are subjective doesn’t mean they’re equally bad, or that a distinction shouldn’t be made in regards to which action was “worse” than the other. And I agree, many times there’s no clear line between what’s acceptable and what’s not. Morals aren’t as black and white as we want them to be. But at a point, there needs to be some distinction and that’s why we have the justice system. And of course the general public has an influence over this too by voicing their opinion. Also sometimes, there’s a clear difference in the severity of moral wrong-doing between two “subjective” actions (which I’m just realizing that even things I’d consider extreme is no big deal for some, further adding to this complexity). But I really have a feeling that the majority would agree that storming the capital to murder 2 specific politicians for political reasons is worse than an angry mob who destroyed a business that just happened to be there.
