Checking mirrors is for losers

Well yeah, the truck has begun his turn so he's over the middle line separating the two lanes, but look at the distance between the yellow line to the truck's left, and the beginning of the zebra paint to the scooter's right (you can see the end of it by the solid white cutoff. Either that's two lanes, or they made a single left turn lane that is twice to more the width of any other lane I have ever seen. Then ponder the distance of the scooter to the truck when the video begins, you can see him there. The scooter is already point blank to the truck and the truck has just begun the turn. So, let's ponder that real quick. Two lanes or one, doesn't matter, let's look at how far away that scooter is and the fact that it's oriented towards the intersection ahead. Do you really think this guy saw a giant car carrier, single lane or not, and decided to drive up alongside it, point blank, while it was turning directly in that path?
