Chevron employees head back to the office next week in Houston after delay due to omicron

I lived in Houston the first 28 years of my life, we recently moved to Galveston and it's been completely worth it. Galveston is about a 45-55 minute commute to downtown Houston (without traffic). Meanwhile from Katy it is about 30-45 give or take to downtown Houston, while still living in Katy. The difference is no highways loaded with gridlock traffic, a community feel, everything's within just a few miles, the island is full of history and hasn't been robbed of its uniqueness. . I don't have corporate interests, I lost 3 of my closest family members in the last 2 years and decided for a change of lifestyle and moved down here. I have no fault with anyone proffering to work from home over in the office. Offices will always be a thing and Houston has a very high vacancy rate which is going to push these companies to still have space in them, and have insane rates. If companies opt to stop using offices there will be further repercussions. If people are unhappy with their employer making them show up face to face then perhaps its time they look somewhere else for job openings. Nobody makes you work at the job you chose, if you are unhappy start to look somewhere else.
