Downtown eat in restaurants

DC all within the last 3 years and I can confidently say Houston still has the best food

OK, I thought maybe I was being too much of a dick about my vendetta against the "Houston is the number one food city" claims. Was I really just not finding the amazing culinary secret gardens where everyone is out Being Someone? So I looked it up:

DC has 23 Michelin Star restaurants, including one of America's 13 3-star restaurants. Texas, let alone Houston, has none. Texas has no restaurants on the top 120 restaurants of the "50 best restaurants." DC has two. Houston's only James Beard award winners are regional winners. DC has three national winners.

There are no culinary awards that back up any Houstonian's claim it is "the best food scene in the world." It's the 3rd largest city in America--variety should be standard. A Michelin star should be too.
