Child dies, two others hurt after pit bulls attack kids on way to school in Atlanta

Or there's the possibility that's completely anecdotal. I come from a small town and I know 3 people now that have had to put down a pit bull for biting people. All of them said the same thing about pit bulls being misunderstood, it's not the breed its the owner, they're gentle loving dogs. And all three of those owner's thought they would be different. They would give it love and attention, and socialize it better, and it would be a great family pet that would change people's minds about pit bulls. People in the hood have pitbulls for the right reasons. It's an aggressive dangerous watch dog so your house doesn't get broken into. It's the special snowflake millennials that are doing it wrong.

Pit bulls are working dogs. Why anyone would get a working dog with an unpredictable temperament and not plan to work it is beyond me. Pit Bulls are the preferred hunting dog for wild boars and you don't really need to teach them all that much for them to be ready to go. They're born ready to hunt and kill an animal that is notorious for killing dogs. So if you're not going to work them hard, don't be surprised when they eventually break bad and bite the shit out of kids and other small animals.

That killer whale from Blackfish did the same thing. Understimulated, no outlets for natural aggression or prey drive and it ended up killing its trainer. But pitbulls are different somehow. Not a lot of breeds will behave that way if raised by half-assed owners. And even if they did snap and go rogue you can quell an unruly schnauzer with a newspaper or magazine. A pit bull you may not even be able to subdue it with a nightstick or a bat.
