Child molesters, pedophiles, rapists and other sexual deviants should all be tortured and publicly executed in town square.

That would mean we would also be killing people who were wrongly convicted.

We don’t get to chose what our tax money goes to anyway, unfortunately. I don’t want my taxes paying for the military, but I don’t get to choose that. We all have to pay for things we are against.

Our cultural perspective on criminality and our ridiculously corrupt criminal justice system is largely the reasons why people are recurring offenders.

If we offered support and help for people before they become habitual criminals would stop many from becoming recurring criminals. I see no logical reason for killing people to whom help has never been offered, and I don’t trust the state with the power of life and death over citizens.

You are entitled to your opinion of course, but I really believe that this kind of thinking is why our justice system is so ineffectual. I would rather see a system that used more time and resources to rehabilitate and prevent than one that always wants the simplest, fastest, and cheapest solution at the expense of the people.
