Civ 5 Multiplayer Strategies.

Obviously going to want your capital by a mountain, but I'd build your capital on the third turn at the latest, hopefully by a mountain if you indeed wait that long.

One compound word: Rainforests Dont let your workers cut them down, unless you want more production, in that case clear a hill. You also want to clear rainforests for irrigated farms, but only enough to keep city growth at ~6 turns a pop.

Rush the great library, if that's do-able.

Get universities next. I bee line it, idk if thats the general consensus but it works for me.

Build in this order: scout scout grainery (buy worker) great library archers

After that there's a lot of unforeseeable factors that will change what you ought to do, I wouldnt build very many units, save ALL your gold, and pick tradition (go wide).

I also bluff a lot in the chat just to keep people off my back (for example casually say your rushing a city state with warriors idk), but that doesnt go far if they have a scout parked at your border..
