Class A shares in TFSA

The sages of PFC are going to wag their fat fingers at you! Why did you invest in this (slightly exotic) security if you didn't know what 'Class A' means, or how your TFSA works?

All that said, you're OK. You can invest in almost anything in your TFSA, provided it's traded on a stock market somewhere. The dividends will just be paid into your account. Anyway, 'Class A' is simply what they call their common stock, DFN. They also have a preferred share DFN.PR.A, which is something altogether different.

It's all there on the front page of their website. Tell us what your thinking was when you bought this stock, so we can all learn. Often chasing dividends in isolation is a dubious practice, but see how your investment goes. Good luck!
