CMV: A lot of leftist issues are very important and benefit everyone, but they are terribly marketed, alienating potential supporters.

The absolute hypocrisy from both sides of the aisle is astounding. I don’t believe anything any of them say regardless of their party affiliation.

The COVID bill is an excellent example. Why is there $100 million for a rail line in the COVID bill? Why are there billions allocated to bail out California’s union problems? Why are we giving even more money to schools when what was given in the last bill hasn’t even been spent? Why is relief money in the bill prioritized by race and ethnicity instead of by need?

They can all go fuck themselves.

Start a sentence with ‘white people bad’ instead of ‘all people fail unless we work together’ and I’m done listening.

But this is Reddit and the average user age is 18-25 which are emotion-driven rather than logic and experience-driven. That’ll come later. Given how the human race has done over my 57 years with solving the race issue, the young people today will likely be dealing with the same issues 57 years from now.

Why do I think this? Because the things being discussed now are the same things and same words being spoken in the 60s, 70s, 80, 90, 00s, and now. Decades of blame and trillions of dollars spent to fix “equality” and not a whole lot has changed if you listen to politicians today. Biden is a horrible hack. 47 years in government and NOW he’s going to fix it. Pelosi with 40+ years in government and NOW she’s going to fix it. Ditto Schumer. Ditto Sanders. Ditto McConnell.

Whatever.
