Meh, your opinion is your opinion and you're entitled to it. Topic 1: I disagree with all of the ridiculous hate that JD gets in terms of him being a "generic" character. FYI, Marcus is generic AF when you get right down to it. However, I took the journey with him and he's become one of my favorite characters in gaming history. Gears 4 was phenomenal at launch and it's remained fantastic to this day. Topic 2: I know I'm in the minority, but I still feel like the campaign was the best in the entire series, sans Gears 2. I feel like it ultimately trumps 2 though because 2 starts to drag a bit by the end. Topic 3: Marcus will probably die in one of the upcoming games. Get over it. SPOILER: During 4's campaign I, like practically everyone else who's played it, almost threw my controller when I thought Marcus was done after he spilled out of the Snatcher pod. If he'd died though, I would have gotten over it. This game isn't in your hands and that's a fantastic thing because we get to take the journey and possibly be surprised along the way. Gears hasn't let me down yet and I'm sure The Coalition will do an amazing job going forward. Btw, I'm one of those individuals who genuinely has zero complaints about what The Coalition did with Gears 4. It's my favorite game in the series just due to all of the content and game options that they've made available to us. The only complaint I have is that I wish they would have released some story DLC in the season pass. Other than that, kudos all around.
