Like Kitty Pryde getting into a relationship with a 20 year old Colossus when she was 15.......

Before this weird hyper-puritan modern era, we did that in the 70s and 80s. I was 15 in 1986 and dated a 19-year-old. Nobody cared. It wasn't weird or bad. She wasn't a predator and I wasn't some naïve preyed-upon victim. I liked her, she liked me, we had a nice relationship. We broke up when I was 16, and we remained distant friends into adulthood.

Somehow, the sexual puritanism of my grandparents' generation became a thing again in the 2000s, and suddenly it became taboo for young people to date within 5 years of their own age. But then magically on their 18th birthday these same people can date a person 30 years older and it's no big deal to our society. It's so weirdly arbitrary.

We're not talking about 30-year-olds picking up teenagers for sex. We're talking about people who are both young (20 is young) dating within their own peer group.

Piotr and Kitty weren't in any kind of abusive relationship. He didn't hold power over her, didn't manipulate her, and they were both attending the same school. They were peers. Piotr was actually very shy and hesitant (raised in a very conservative Russian family), and Kitty came on strong.

No... the weird X-Men relationship was 100+ year-old Wolverine's odd connection to Jubilee for a while there. Oh, and Scott dating Emma. The woman straight-up murdered friends of his in the past and helped to enslave (and, it's insinuated, rape) the love of his life at one point, and he just hopped in bed with the White Queen anyway.
