Have Contemplated Suicide. Thinking About Improving Myself. Been looking for a job 6 months.

It honestly sounds to me like you are just going through motions because you think its what you are “supposed” to do. Why did you get your degree in math? Do you find it interesting? What about that and computer science made you seek out those degrees? Do some research and figure out the types of jobs that exist that you would actually ENJOY doing and work on getting those. You need to find happiness in what you do. Go be with friends, get outside, be social, exercise, do your research on where youd like your future to be. Dont let thoughts of self harm or harming others invade your mind. Those are the thoughts people have when they lose their sense of direction, but they arent ever good or rational or what you want. Its too common for people to do what is easy just because it takes less effort. But you have come so far, and you certainly didnt come all that way just to take the easy routes now, right? Hang in there and keep it up. It takes people longer than you to get jobs but it happens. Its about finding the openings right as they come, and if there is a company that interests you go directly to their job page and apply to all the positions there that interest you as well. You will get through it in time, you just need patience and discipline. Finishing your math degree proved you are capable of that, so just keep it up and dont lose hope. You have things much more fortunate for you than so many others out there, so dont you dare think for a second it would be worth it to throw that all away because you are getting a little restless. Patience.
