Progressives are censoring this so that Islam does not look bad because they consider Islam to be oppressed and an assault on multiculturalism. It is an Orwellian ideology. Look at the EU as Angela Merkel implemented "hate speech laws" to censor anti-immigrant critics on social media platforms. Germany recently made a deal with Twitter, Facebook, and Google to do just that. That's what progressives do. The ends justify the means even if the means involve completely evil and totalitarian methodology like censorship. The mod here is a progressive trying to censor the opinions of those who criticize Islam by applying censorship.

A lot of liberals today are taken by the rhetoric and propaganda of progressives. But, liberals and progressives should actually be enemies not allies. As you can see, this is a violation of free speech. Liberals have always stood by free speech but progressives are against it in the form of "political correctness." This censorship of Islamic terrorism is politically correct censorship. People always joke about how political correctness is being taken too seriously and that it is just politeness but as we can clearly see it is just as the critics said it was, censorship. In fact, the term political correctness originates from authoritarian regimes that used it to silence political enemies. The progressives revived political correctness in recent times. I again point to the example of Angela Merkel and her politically correct "hate speech laws."

The philosophical and practical contentions of liberals and progressives are very stark and there is disagreement between these philosophies across the board. Yet, without noticing this, liberals are being co-opted by progressives like a virus taking over because they are unaware of the underlying clashes. Political correctness is just one example. Liberals who are die-hard free speech fighters are fooled into supporting political correctness because it 'sounds' right but it is not on further analysis. Look at the word equality. To liberals it means equal opportunity. To progressives however, it means equal outcome. These are fundamentally clashing ideas but since liberals are not thinking critically they forget to ask: "What do you mean by equality?" So the progressives, by using similar language, have trojan-horsed the liberals and are now a virus spreading among the ranks of liberals. Disconnect yourself from them.
