Several callers on Tuesday took aim at Wooten, who has been subjected to insults online, including on the county’s Facebook page.

At Tuesday’s meeting, one frustrated resident singled out Wooten during public comments, criticizing her appearance and reading Wooten’s home address — twice.

[One speaker] said that “for everyone who thinks Wooten is doing a good job, you know, feel free to give a high five or send her a letter. Her address is (address). Again Ms. Wooten’s address is (address).”

“I wasn’t telling anyone to do violence or harass her,” the speaker said, adding that she had given Wooten’s address only so people could write or talk to her about the county health order. She said it would be wrong if anyone used Wooten’s address to harass or be violent toward her.
