Creator (Savage) Difficulty and the Raiding Pool

People who have chosen to just be passing probably aren't going to be trying creator or will be trying it when item level makes the content easier.

I would love it if it does raise the lower bar, but I have a gut feeling that it's not going to.

I'm fairly worried about what direction the game might go into during 4.0. I realize that a lot of the mentality here has been downvote for expressing that kind of concern but I feel like it's legitimate?

For the longest time the community has been asking for tools to help the player base improve like SSS/client-based parsing, better tutorials. I feel like SE has made leaps to putting some of that in and creator seems to be their bridge to help people into savage but a part of me is scared that they just do away with the high end raiding element of the game in terms of easier fights and simplifying class mechanics.

I hope I'm wrong and they do successfully increase the community's interest and ability to raid.

I have known a lot of players that I thought could have made the jump to be raiders but chose not to out of misconception and fear of not being good enough for it. I've always tried to explain that it's only scary at first. Once you start studying mechanics/figuring out how to improve and find a group of fun people to play with as a team it's the most satisfying experience you can get in the game.
